Sustainability

Sustainability at EVIW 2027

At EVIW 2027, sustainability is a shared responsibility guiding both the scientific programme and the organisation of the event.

Aligned with the One Health approach, the meeting promotes a holistic vision connecting animal, human, and environmental health, while fostering responsible practices and supporting long-term sustainable innovation in veterinary immunology.

Food Surplus Recovery

EVIW 2027 has joined the Food for Good project, promoted by Federcongressi&eventi, Banco Alimentare, and Equoevento Onlus, with the aim of reducing food waste and supporting local communities.

We kindly encourage all participants to be mindful of food consumption and avoid unnecessary waste. Any surplus food will be safely recovered and donated to local charities, contributing to supporting people in need.

EVIW 2027 Commitment:

EVIW 2027 is committed to implementing sustainable practices across all aspects of the event:
These actions reflect a growing commitment within the scientific community to reduce the environmental footprint of international events, in line with best practices adopted by similar congresses.

What You Can Do

We encourage all participants to actively contribute to making EVIW 2027 a more sustainable and responsible event.
Small individual actions can collectively make a significant impact:

Together, we can make EVIW 2027 not only a leading scientific event, but also a responsible and forward-looking one, aligned with the principles of sustainability and the One Health approach.
Within the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), EVIW 2027 promotes initiatives and scientific exchange aligned with the following goals:
SDG 2 – Zero Hunger

Animal health is directly linked to food security and sustainable livestock production. By promoting research in veterinary immunology and disease control, EVIW 2027 supports healthier animals, improved productivity, and safer food systems.
