Veterinary immunology plays an increasingly vital role in addressing today’s global health challenges — from emerging infectious diseases to the One Health interface between animal, human, and environmental health. As the field advances, there is a growing need to bridge core immunology, translational research, and next-generation technologies.
EVIW 2027 aims to bring together the international research community to discuss recent advancements, foster collaboration, and chart the future of veterinary immunology — spanning Core Immunology, One Health & Global Challenges, Advanced Immunology, and Next-Generation Models, alongside dedicated Toolbox Sessions to strengthen research skills across the field.

Summary of Minimum Requirements
- Title: 25 words maximum.
- Abstract: 250 words maximum.
- Language: Abstracts must be written in English.
- Conference theme and subtheme: Please select from the 5 conference themes listed.
- Authors/co-authors and presenting author: Please identify appropriately – there must be one presenting author.
- Presentation format: Poster presentation – see the guidelines for more information.
- Keywords: Up to three keywords.
Submission Guidelines
- The call is open to submissions from both Academia (students, researchers, and academic staff) and Industry.
- All abstracts undergo a blind peer review process, assessed on scientific relevance, novelty, and potential impact. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts on which you may appear as a co-author. However, each participant may act as presenting author on a maximum of two presentations: either one oral communication and one poster, or two poster presentations.
- The presenting author does not need to be the principal investigator, but must be an active member of the research team.
- We recommend accessing the submission portal well in advance of the deadline to familiarise yourself with the required fields. You will need to create a personal account with login credentials and follow the instructions.
- If you have already completed your registration, you can submit your abstract directly from your Personal Area.
- Submissions cannot be edited, updated or replaced once submitted.
- The closing date for abstract submission is 28th February 2027. Incomplete submissions will not proceed to review.
- The title and authors’ names are entered separately in the portal and do not count toward the 250-word limit. The same applies to references and keywords.
- Abstracts must be text only — no figures or images are permitted.
- Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email indicating whether your submission is completed. Please add the sender address to your contacts to avoid it being directed to your spam folder.
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the presentation format indicated by the author, from oral to poster or from poster to oral. The Scientific Committee also reserves the right to reassign an abstract to a different session/topic if it is considered more relevant to another thematic area.
- Please note that accepted posters may be selected by the Scientific Committee for a short oral poster pitch presentation.
- Notification of acceptance will be sent to the submitting author by 10th May 2027.
- Should your abstract be accepted, at least one author must register to attend and present at the conference.
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts on which you may appear as a co-author. However, each participant may act as presenting author on a maximum of two presentations: either one oral communication and one poster, or two poster presentations.
- Be aware that if the presenting author does not register by 31st May 2027, the contribution will be removed from the programme.
- The scientific programme will be compiled by the Scientific Committee based on the overall programme needs. Days and sessions will be assigned accordingly. No requests for schedule changes will be considered, including those motivated by travel arrangements made before or after the assigned presentation slot.
- Please note that the conference does not offer grants, fellowships, or financial support of any kind to presenters.
