Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the local organizing committee, I am very happy and honoured to welcome you to 9th European Veterinary Immunology Workshop, EVIW 2027, that will take place in Florence from September 8th to September 10th, 2027.

EVIW 2027 will be an international meeting dedicated to scientific excellence, innovation, and collaboration in the field of veterinary immunology. The scientific programme will cover key areas of veterinary and comparative immunology, including fish and avian immunology, innate and adaptive immunity, infection and immunity, mucosal immunology and immuno-oncology.
In addition, the Workshop will address emerging and highly relevant topics such as One Health, including wildlife immunology, emerging diseases, artificial intelligence applied to immunology (vaccine design and epitope prediction) as well as new experimental models, including organs-on-chip and advanced in vitro systems.
The meeting aims to the gathering of Academia and industry through scientific excellence and innovation. Making use of high-level sessions and dedicated networking opportunities, EVIW 2027 will create an inspiring environment to connect, collaborate, and shape the future of animal health.

Florence, located in Tuscany, in the heart of Italy, is renowned worldwide for its cultural and artistic heritage, and for its beautiful hilly agricultural landscapes, in the region of Chianti, will host the Workshop. The EVIW venue and the social events, hosted on some of the most spectacular locations of the city, will offer the opportunity to discover monuments, historical sites of the cradle of the Renaissance, while also enjoying the excellence of Italian cuisine.
